It’s not too late to register for the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council’s 2017 Turning a New Leaf Conference.

Online registration is available at www.chesapeakelandscape.org/new-leaf/  but will close at 12 Noon on Monday, October 30.  To register after Noon on Monday, please print and fill out the attached registration brochure. You may fax the completed registration form to 410-296-8288, or bring to the conference with you to register on site.

The conference will open Thursday evening, November 2, with a Welcome Dinner, featuring  guest speaker, Gem Bingol, from the Piedmont Environmental Council, and presentation of the Marcy Damon Conservation Landscaping Award to Adele Ashkar, FASLA, of The George Washington University.

The conference will be held on Friday, November 3 from 9 AM – 5 PM.  Highlights include a keynote presentation by Rick Darke, “The Design and Stewardship of the Living Landscape.”  Beth Ginter and Shereen Hughes will provide an overview of CCLC’s new Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional certification program. Other sessions focus on practical aspects of sustainable landscaping, new information about pollinators, native plants and biodiversity, and how to communicate more effectively about conservation landscaping. CEUs are available.
