Join us Thursday, January 18th, at 7 p.m. at the Annapolis Maritime Museum for a lecture by Grace Brush exploring the history of the Chesapeake Bay through the examination of sediment core samples. The evolution of the Bay as industry has affected the region will be reviewed with a focus on the impacts on wildlife, both large and small, that live on and contribute to the Chesapeake.

About the Presenter: Grace Brush is a paleoecologist and Professor of Ecology in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University. She is also a Director of a National Science Foundation IGERT grant on water, climate, and health. She received the Mathias Medal for her work on the Chesapeake. Grace also is a recipient of the Odum Award for lifetime achievement from the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation and is a Fellow of the Ecological Society of America.

Admission to the lecture is $10 for non-members; Free for First Mate members and above.
