Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Associate Engineer at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of maintenance and design of stormwater infrastructure in accordance with NPDES, TMDL and stormwater management regulations and requirements. Primary responsibilities include reviewing designs for proposed maintenance activities or impervious acreage treatment, and assisting Senior Engineers with development and management; coordination with various contractors and subcontractors; project monitoring, reporting; and personnel and financial management in support of a variety of concurrent projects.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Geotechnical, Electrical, or other field of engineering, plus 3 years of related engineering experience. Experience in GIS software and Geodatabases is a plus! EIT Certification may be substituted for 1 year of the required experience, or a Master’s Degree in an Engineering or Management discipline may be substituted for up to 2 years of the required experience.
