The Anne Arundel  County Watershed Stewards Academy (WSA) is a 501 © 3 non-profit organization, that build capacity of Anne Arundel County neighborhood residents to reduce pollutants entering local waterways via stormwater. Our hands-on training course gives Stewards the tools to bring change to their communities, by turning knowledge and good intentions into action. Collectively, these community and individual actions add up to better health for our local waterways and the Chesapeake Bay. Launched in 2009, WSA now supports over 160 Certified Master Watershed Stewards and a Consortium of Support Professionals including over 80 governmental, nonprofit and business professionals who provide technical assistance to Master Watershed Stewards by consulting on design and development of watershed restoration projects.

The WSA Board of Directors is seeking a development consultant to assist the Board in revising and refocusing its development efforts toward specific fundraising goals. These include:

Develop attainable short and medium range fundraising goals for the organization.
Significantly increase the percentage of unrestricted funds raised by the WSA Board, both in the current year and lay the groundwork for further increases in out years.

Please see the attached RFP for details and further information. Interested parties may contact Suzanne Etgen, Executive Director, at setgen@aacps.org to receive support materials to the RFP.
