Sign up for a great new opportunity for your students!

On behalf of the National Park Service’s Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail, you and your students are invited to participate in a new educational experience—become a Trail Steward for the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail!

Produced in partnership with Living Classrooms Foundation, the program involves you and your students becoming ambassadors of the Trail. The program will include a professional development session to prepare and equip you with an array of interactive curriculum resources for your classroom and a hands-on maritime voyage (FREE!!**). The experience will culminate in creating a Trail project that can be shared with other students in your school and your community. The attached flyer contains more detail about this fun and new way of bringing your classroom on an exciting journey through history.

Providing experiential and practical education programs throughout Washington, DC and Baltimore, Living Classrooms Foundation is excited to partner with the National Park Service to share this new program with you.

There is a limited capacity and it launches this spring—the professional development session will be held in February/March 2017 in late February and our Trail Team work with you to get your classroom ready to become Trail Stewards in the spring with voyages and projects produced in April and May!

**Transportation and water voyage (for one class of students) costs will be covered by the grant, as long as you participate in professional development and project. Living Classrooms staff will help support you in creation of your project.

*Schools must be in the Congressional Districts along the Star-Spangled Banner Trail*
