Job Summary:
This position is located in the Standards and TMDL Branch, Water Quality Division at the Department of Energy and Environment.  The mission of the Water Quality Division includes assuring compliance with the District’s MS4 NPDES permit and other Federal obligations and by doing so, protect its watersheds from stormwater and other sources of pollution. 
 
The incumbent in this position serves as chief of the Standards and TMDL Branch, with responsibility for establishing water quality standards and Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) for surface waters, evaluating and protecting groundwater, and providing technical support and coordination for the District’s obligations under the Chesapeake Bay Program.
