REGIONAL OUTREACH COORDINATOR 

The James River Association (JRA) is seeking a full time staff person to be based near Williamsburg, VA in JRA’s Lower James regional office.

Position Summary:

The Regional Outreach Coordinator will serve as the primary Environmental Educator for the Tidewater region which will include facilitating field-based educational programming (canoe paddling) in the Tidewater area. In addition to serving as an environmental educator, the Regional Outreach Coordinator will represent JRA at local events, manage the regional office, coordinate with Richmond JRA staff to work with local partners on issues affecting the James River in the tidewater region, and help direct volunteers. Some weekends, overnights, and occasional extended field programs will be required. Successful candidates must demonstrate flexibility, excellent communication skills, and must have an enthusiastic personality.
