Need something for your kids to do when schools are out? Send them to CBEC for a day full of hands-on nature exploration and fun for campers grades K-6! Older campers can come as assistants for ½ price. Camp runs from 9-3:30pm with after-care available, 3:30-5pm. Cost is $30/camper daily, $10 extra for aftercare. Sign up for all 10 dates and receive a $30 discount!  Payment is collected at camp and can be paid by check or cash.

Guided Hikes

Ecology of the Property Tour
Boardwalk

Join us for a guided hike on CBEC’s Lake Trail for this unique opportunity to discover some of the natural features and treasures found on our property. A docent will lead participants on a journey to explore topics of Hummock Succession, Oyster Reef Ecology, Salt Marsh Plants, Lake Knapp Bird Residents, and Resident Raptors all while walking a 1.5 mile flat path around the center of our 510 acre peninsula.  There is a half-way rest stop with restroom accessibility.  Participants are encouraged to dress for weather and bring along a water bottle, small snack, and binoculars.  Duration is approximately 2 hours. Trips are subject to cancellation due to weather or low enrollment. Check-in and hike begin at the Visitor Center.

Guided Hikes

Scat, Bones, Tracks-The “Leftovers” Found in the Woods

Join us for a guided hike on CBEC’s Lake Trail for this unique opportunity to discover some of the natural features and treasures found on our property. This guided hike is focusing on Scat, Bones, and Tracks left in the habitats for us to discover and learn about the life styles of those who provided the “leftovers” all while walking a 1.5 mile flat path around the center of our 510 acre peninsula.  There is a half-way rest stop with restroom accessibility.  Participants are encouraged to dress for weather and bring along a water bottle, small snack, and binoculars.  Duration is approximately 2 hours.
