Construction Management for Berrywood Community Stream Restoration and Living Shoreline
Project Introduction: The Berrywood Community Association (BCA) is a homeowner’s association located in Severna Park. The BCA’s property is transected by a section of Cattail Creek, a principal tributary of the Magothy River. BCA is partnering with the WSA, Maryland DNR, Anne Arundel County and the Chesapeake Bay Trust to fund the construction of a stream restoration and living shoreline project and stormwater BMP’s to address erosion issues and to improve the water quality of Cattail Creek. The WSA is a 501 (c) (3) non- profit organization and therefore exempt from Federal Excise taxes and State and local Sales or Use taxes. Respondents shall not include these taxes in their bid price. Exemption certificates will be provided upon request. Construction will be executed according to the Plans provided by Underwood & Associates.
Note: A new boat ramp, pier and boat slips/marina will be installed in concert with the stream restoration/living shoreline construction—the understanding being that the two contractors will work together to time their work appropriately.
