The Patuxent River Conference (PAXCON) is the premier forum uniting scientists, environmental educators, natural resource managers, and anyone passionate about the health and future of the Patuxent River.  To know and understand the Patuxent River is to take one more step towards its protection.

PAXCON will take place Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Refuge Visitor Center in Laurel, MD.

The theme of this year’s conference is Climate Change & the Patuxent River: Local Implications of Global Issues.  This theme was chosen based on feedback from last year’s conference participants who wanted to learn more about climate research occurring in the region as well as learn best practices for climate change focused communication, outreach and advocacy.

Early Bird Registration ends November 6th! After that time registration will increase from $30 to $50!
