About the design competition

The Middle Branch Waterfront will be Baltimore’s next great recreational & natural waterfront, with water- and land-based attractions along 11-plus miles of the Patapsco River shoreline connected within a network of parks & trails.

The project will be complex and multi-faceted. It will require diverse expertise in many disciplines of design and planning and the leadership of a landscape architecture firm with a demonstrated track record of success working at this scale and with local talent.

The design competition recruits highly qualified experts to assist in finding the best team to work with Baltimore on this exciting initiative by considering both public input and technical review.
