Hello Educators!
Earth Force is excited to announce our virtual summer professional development workshop offerings! All workshops focus on building civic and project-based learning skills that harness students’ drive to change their local communities. This workshop is open to teachers in any subject area for grades 5-10.
**** Montgomery County Public School and Alexandria City Public School teachers are eligible for a stipend for successfully completing this course*****
We currently have two open sessions; both offer 12 contact hours but different delivery times to meet your scheduling needs.
Earth Force Three-week Workshop, beginning Monday July 20

What We’ll Focus On:

How to take community action using Earth Force’s award-winning Community Action and Problem Solving process
-
Integrating civic approaches into project-based learning
-
Targeting the knowledge and skills students need to be successful, then working backwards to understand how we can serve them best as educators
-
Taking advantage of the collective knowledge in our virtual space to promote creative design and planning approaches

A full school year (2020-2021) of continued support from Earth Force staff

Reduced registration cost of $25 for educators from sponsored districts in VA, MD, and DC
