Get Creative for a Cause

Submit your own artwork or bid on your favorites at the Lend a Hand Charity Art Auction to support tree planting and reforestation efforts in Frederick County

It’s time to create a piece of art inspired by the theme that we must work together to protect the natural world and preserve it for future generations. Artists of all ages and talents can pick up their blank canvas for $20 at The Muse in Frederick, MD, and submit their artwork by August 31.*

Your one of a kind masterpiece will raise funds for a great cause! All proceeds from the silent auction go to Stream-Link Education, a non-profit organization that is putting this vision and theme into action through on-going reforestation efforts. Stream-Link creates outdoor learning experiences for all ages and brings together hundreds of volunteers to plant dozens of acres of forests each year.

Stream-Link plants riparian forests which have huge benefits to the environment and the community, including improving and preserving water quality in the Monocacy River, a drinking water source for the City of Frederick.

This charity event and silent auction are hosted by The Muse, a local small business located in downtown Frederick that features beautifully handmade and local gifts, accessories, and artwork. The Muse supports a community of artists where people can find a gift that is truly unique and one of a kind!

*Swing by The Muse at 19 N Market St, Frederick, MD 21701 to pick up your canvas by August 31 and bid in the silent auction between August 31 and October 3 in-store or over the phone. The auction closes at the Charity Event on October 3.

Consider your contribution as a gift that keeps on giving. The funds raised through the Lend a Hand charity art auction will leverage grant funding in order to continue large-scale reforestation projects in Frederick County. Your support is needed now more than ever.
