The CWEA Stormwater Committee is hosting a webinar this Thursday (9/10) from 12-1PM. Participants will receive 1.0 PDH for attendance.

Speaker: Greg Sandi from MDE.

Webinar Abstract: Since the 1980’s, Maryland has seen a steady increase in the pollution from salt applied to our impervious areas throughout the State. It’s reached a point where the health of our citizens is in danger, aquatic communities have been affected, and it’s damaging our infrastructure. The reduction of the over-application of salt is the first step in a phased approach that the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) is using to help mitigate this pollutant. With this goal in mind, MDE is looking to build partnerships with public and private institutions in order to promote and help with implementing this reduction effort.

Cost: Free to CWEA members; $10 for non-members
