Replant Anne Arundel engages residents in designing and installing tree planting projects. Since 2013, Anne Arundel County has lost 2,500 acres of forests, the highest rate of forest loss in the state of Maryland. In 2020, through a partnership with Anne Arundel County, and with support from the Helena Foundation, the Anne Arundel Watershed Stewards Academy created Replant Anne Arundel. In its inaugural year, Replant Anne Arundel planted more than 4,800 trees, engaging over 300 residents!

Through Replant Anne Arundel, WSA offers a community-based tree planting initiative, called the Tree Trooper program.

Tree Troopers are the volunteer leaders of Replant Anne Arundel’s planting efforts. Tree Troopers will receive multiple hour-long webinar training sessions, covering topics such as tree biology, siting trees in a landscape, proper tree planting techniques, and more!
We are now accepting applications for our 2021 Tree Trooper season!
Tree Troopers will attend five virtual training sessions (Wednesdays from 6-7:30 pm, beginning March 31st, and ending April 28th)
Click here to apply by Sunday, March 28th.
