This September, we challenge you to spend time outdoors to support your local land trust and watershed non-profit, Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC)! Discover the beauty of the Gunpowder Watershed of Baltimore County – our connection to the Chesapeake Bay.
Help us reach our goal of raising $15,000 during September 2021 in support of land preservation and watershed restoration! The Explore the Gunpowder Watershed Challenge is a month-long virtual event from September 1 – 30, 2021. All participants will receive an event t-shirt and are encouraged to share their adventures on social media with #GVCExplore. Please note, GVC does not encourage group activities during the Challenge. Please maintain social distancing.

For over three decades, the GVC has worked tirelessly to preserve the beauty of the Gunpowder Watershed and reduce pollution to our drinking water reservoirs. GVC and its amazing volunteers have planted 32,000+ trees, removed 260+ tons of trash, and preserved 1800+ acres in conservation easements.
