The Chesapeake Bay Trust is excited to announce that the application to become a 2025-26 Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps (Corps) Member is now open! The Trust is excited to share that the application to become a 2025-26 Maryland Climate Corps (MCC-SYO) Fellow is also open!
Both Climate Corps programs offer the opportunity for young adults to serve full-time in the environmental field while receiving experience managing projects and programs, leadership and professional development training, mentorship, a support network of young professionals, and other skill-building opportunities. Positions offered by the Host Organizations are in the fields of environmental restoration, community engagement, climate change, environmental education, sustainable agriculture, energy conservation, and forestry.
The Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps anticipates placing approximately 50 Corps Members, young adults aged 18-25, at nonprofit organizations and government agencies across the state of Maryland for a year of stipend-supported service from August 19, 2025 to August 18, 2026. Corps Members will receive a living stipend of $33,280 from the Trust to support their year of service.
The Maryland Climate Corps anticipates placing a minimum of 40 MCC-SYO Fellows, recent graduates of a Maryland High School (within the last 3 years), at nonprofit organizations, for-profit entities, and government agencies across the state of Maryland for a 9.5 month term of stipend-supported service from September 10, 2025 to July 2026. MCC-SYO Fellows will receive a living stipend equivalent to $15 per hour and are eligible to receive a $6,000 completion award.
