The Chesapeake Bay Trust, Anne Arundel County, and City of Annapolis are excited to share that the Anne Arundel County Watershed Restoration and Forestry grant program is open and accepting applications until February 27, 2026 at 4PM. This grant program supports the reduction of pollutants flowing into our local waterways, implementation of cost-effective reforestation and greening efforts, and the increase of protected forested land.
New this year, applicants proposing a project in the City of Annapolis can apply for the afforestation/reforestation and permanent protection of forested lands project tracks. Additionally, applicants can propose a project that incorporates watershed restoration and forestry objectives into one proposal. Lastly, there is dedicated funding this year for projects located in the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area for stormwater projects in the City of Annapolis and for forestry projects in the County. Reach out to the Trust early to discuss your project idea and coordinate a site visit.
