Looking to make your neighborhood greener? The Chesapeake Bay Trust’s Anne Arundel County Community Tree Planting Mini Grant Program provides funding to help local organizations plant trees and enhance community spaces.

Grant Funding
- Up to $5,000 for projects in Anne Arundel County
- Up to $9,999 for projects in the City of Annapolis
Application Timeline
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with recommended deadlines for seasonal planting projects:
- October 15 – Fall planting projects
- January 31 – Earth Day planting projects
- February 15 – Spring planting projects
All applications must be submitted at least eight weeks before the proposed project start date.
Planting Season
For the best results, tree planting projects are preferred to take place between October and May, when cooler temperatures and seasonal conditions support healthy root establishment and long-term tree survival.
