Part 3 of 3 in a webinar series from the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, Maryland Departments of Environment and Natural Resources, and Maryland Sea Grant on behalf of the Maryland Commission on Climate Change and its workgroups. The webinar series is offered in three parts between December 2021 and January 2022. The final offering of this series, Workshop: Living Shorelines in Practice – Enhancing Coastal Resilience, taking place January 11, 2022 from 1:00 – 4:30pm, will highlight advances in Maryland related to Living Shorelines and related restoration projects. The panel discussion will highlight tools available for visualization and modeling, approaches to assessment and monitoring as well as regulatory barriers and opportunities for advancement. A discussion panel will address framing questions, how to balance the sometimes competing needs of habitat and infrastructure, and opportunities for blue carbon in coastal restoration.
