Lancaster County Tree Tenders Pruning Workshop

Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay will host an interactive pruning workshop as part of the Lancaster County Tree Tenders initiative. Participants will learn proper pruning techniques for healthy tree form and young tree training at a local park. Several trees at this park were planted a few years ago and offer the perfect opportunity to do early pruning with small hand tools for healthy form in an urban setting. The workshop will be led by Orsi Lazar, Community Tree Specialist with Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Orsi is an ISA Certified Arborist. Tools will be provided.

Rain Date: May 29, 5-7pm. In the event of inclement weather, a cancellation notice will be sent via email by noon the day of the event.
Lancaster County Tree Tenders is a volunteer effort coordinated by Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay to grow and care for urban tree canopy with funding from DCNR for Urban and Community Forestry.
