NEW this year! – a dramatic reading by Arena Players of “The Clod” – a one act play set during the time period. Stick-in-the-muds Mary Trask and her husband, Thaddeus, eke out their hardscrabble life on a farm on the borderline between Northern and Southern states. The year is 1863. They care little for concerns that don’t coming knocking at their door, that is until a wounded Union soldier with Confederate soldiers hot in pursuit seeks refuge in their home. Performed in the Celeste Winans Chapel.
