Join the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay on Friday, September 11th at 3pm for a Project Clean Stream kick-off event! This season we will be cleaning up Willis Run in York, PA.
What is provided: Gloves, trash bags, & some light snacks.
What to bring: Plan to get dirty and possibly wet. We will try to go into a moderate creek to pull out trash, so if you’re interested in helping with that task, dress for full protection. Each volunteer is recommended to bring a full water bottle, sturdy walking shoes (closed-toed preferred), long pants, sun protection, & bug spray for themselves.
Parking: There is available free street parking around the meeting location.
Weather policy: We are rain or shine! If weather is too extreme (i.e. thunderstorms), we will notify registered volunteers of a cancelation.
Other information: Children are more than welcome to attend with their guardians. There are no bathrooms at this location. Registered attendees will receive a confirmation email on the week of September 7th, including a few reminders for the event. Please note you will be asked to sign a volunteer waiver on-site.
