Join the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay on Thursday, December 11th at 9am for a Project Clean Stream event! This month we will be cleaning up Bantz Park in York, PA.
What is provided: Gloves & trash bags.
What to bring: Plan to get dirty and possibly wet. There will be some scrambling on a steep, forested embankment to pull out trash, so if you’re interested in helping with that task, dress for full protection. Each volunteer is recommended to bring a full water bottle, sturdy walking shoes (closed-toed preferred), long pants, sun protection, & bug spray for themselves.
Parking: There are some small parking areas at the park, as well as plenty of street parking.
Weather policy: We are rain or shine! If weather is too extreme (i.e. thunderstorms), we will notify registered volunteers of a cancelation.
Other information: Children are more than welcome to attend with their guardians. There are no bathrooms at this location. Registered attendees will receive a confirmation email on the week of December 8th, including a few reminders for the event. Please note you will be asked to sign a volunteer waiver on-site. If you have any questions, please reach out to Cathleen Mastrilli at cmastrilli@allianceforthebay.org.
