Ecosikh is celebrating Sikh environment day on March 13 with a clean up project.  We shall be meeting at the Marvin Gayle park in DC and help pick up trash in this area. This park sits along the watts branch, the biggest tributary of the Anacostia river.  Trash in the river has been so bad in recent years that the Anacostia River was declared “impaired by trash” by the Environmental Protection Agency under the Clean Water Act. Whatever we don’t pick up will eventually likely go into the bay and from there into the ocean.

This is a great effort that helps us honor our Guru’s teachings of caring and protecting our environment. All are invited to join. We welcome kids. Wear your Ecosikh T shirts. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
