^^^Note– MEETING spot is ACROSS the STREET in the PARK ^^^

Every spring, tens of thousands of volunteers come together to pick up trash from local
streams, creeks, rivers, parks, and neighborhoods as part of the Alliance for the
Chesapeake Bay’s Project Clean Stream. This is the largest cleanup event in the
Chesapeake Bay region! Cleanups take place across the entire Chesapeake watershed, in all six Bay states and DC.

The Alliance’s 2020 Goal: 50,000 volunteers at 3,000 sites to clean up 3 million pounds of trash.

We will have a signin table with  heavy gloves and trash bags to collect litter. Due to COVID-19, masks will be required at sign in and when distancing is not possible. Please bring your own water container.

People of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend- children should be accompanied by an adult. Dress appropriately for the weather and the elements– be aware some sites may have ticks and/or poison ivy.  Only skilled and appropriately outfitted adults should wade into the stream to collect trash.

We hope you sign up, and bring your family, friends and neighbors- groups welcome and community service hours can be awarded!
