This event is part of Alice Ferguson Foundation’s Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup and produced in partnership with the Interstate Commission on the Potomac RiverHorning Property Management, the City of Frederick, and Frederick’s Sustainability Committee.

Picking up trash in and near waterways prevents pollution, helps aquatic life, and improves water quality all the way to the Chesapeake Bay. What happens to the trash if we don’t clean it up? Watch a video of the picture below by visiting River Runner to see how Rock Creek is connected through Carroll Creek, Monocacy River, Potomac River (one of Frederick City’s sources of drinking water), and the Chesapeake Bay.
