I’m reaching out to invite you to a virtual event that the Conservation team at Audubon Naturalist Society is hosting called Couch Advocacy 101: How to Be an Environmental Advocate During a Pandemic. This workshop will focus on how to communicate the importance of climate change and nature advocacy during this health crisis, how to explain the intersections between Covid and climate change, and how to be an effective advocate for the environment while working from your couch (or chair or floor or standing desk). The workshop will be interactive and there will be a chance to discuss current DMV-specific advocacy opportunities in breakout sessions during the workshop. It’s targeted at both seasoned activists and those just getting involved, and it’ll be a really fun night. I’d love to see you there!   Also, please feel free to invite others in your networks!
