Interested in learning more about the care and maintenance of rain gardens? Join us on Saturday, October 19th for an afternoon workshop perfect for Bay-Wise Master Gardeners, Master Watershed Stewards, and Columbia homeowners with a rain garden or those thinking about installing one. We will cover a refresher on Rain Gardens 101, how to choose the best plants for your site, and where to find further resources.

A rain garden plant swap will follow the workshop. If your rain garden needs replacement plants, come to pick a few new ones at no cost. If you have a thriving rain garden with plants that need to be thinned or separated, this is a chance to share those plants with others. A Master Gardeners Plant Clinic will be on hand to answer your questions.

Both events will take place at the Owen Brown Community Center (6800 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD), rain or shine. The workshop will run from 1 PM – 3 PM and the plant swap from 3 PM to 4 PM.

Registration for the workshop is $5 per person and the plant swap is free to take part in. If you would like to attend both, choose one of each ticket types when you register.
