Take a journey from the practical to the inspirational. In this series of “Know Your Bioretention” workshops, we will evaluate common elements and issues in bioretention facilities and examine ways to maximize stormwater management performance, aesthetics, and ecology- while minimizing upkeep.

Organized by the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional program, with support from University of Maryland Sea Grant Extension, the August 24 half-day workshop explores invasive species which are commonly found in bioretention areas, and how to manage them.

The final workshop is a full-day on Blending Design and Ecology in BMPs, on September 21.

All workshops are open to the public and include a field component, in Derwood, Maryland.
