Ecosystem Modeling: Using Natural Plant Communities as Models for Landscape Design

This class covers site assessment, research, and the creation of species lists and installation plans for native assemblages of plants. Workshop includes on-site walk to natural reference habitats and native plant installations. Participants will also work in small groups on conceptual practices.

LEAD INSTRUCTOR is Devin Floyd, Center for Urban Habitats, with David Hirschman of Hirschman Water and Environment LLC.

By attending these workshops, participants will understand how design choices can support greater habitat value for wildlife and biodiversity through the use of appropriately selected native plants.

Fee is $100 and includes lunch.
