If your community is interested in applying for funding from the Green Streets, Green Jobs, Green Towns Grant Program, please consider attending this FREE workshop. Learn about funding availability, applicant eligibility, and allowable grant projects!

The G3 Grant Program, funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 3, Chesapeake Bay Trust, and the City of Baltimore Office of Sustainability with support from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, has awarded more than $10 million in grants over the past eight years. The goal of the grant program is to help communities develop and implement plans that reduce stormwater runoff, increase the number and amount of green spaces in urban areas, improve the health of local streams and the Bay, and enhance quality of life and community livability.

Grant funding can be applied anywhere in the Chesapeake Bay watershed portion of EPA Region 3 (excludes New York). Eligible grantees include local governments, nonprofit organizations, and neighborhood/community associations. Workshop attendees will hear from past G3 grantees on how they applied for, received, and used grant funds for their local projects. In addition, the workshop will cover many green infrastructure and stormwater management topics, including how to assess, organize, and schedule public works projects to maximize efficiency, save money, and improve existing and new developments. This workshop is intended for local governments and nonprofits new to the program who are interested in receiving free training and consultation on the Chesapeake Bay’s G3 Grant Program.
