Naturalist Hour

Join Steven Lonker, former researcher at Harvard University, Australian National University and Carnegie Institution for Science, on a virtual trip across the Eastern Himalayas of India following the footsteps of 19th century botanist-explorer Sir Joseph Hooker. Experience birds from accentors to yuhinas; rhododendron forests with white, pink, red and yellow flowers; and showy displays of primulas, orchids and bizarre cobra-lilies. Witness encounters with Asian elephants and threatened Indian rhinos. And learn about the recently described endangered and critically endangered species including the Arunachal macaque.
