Interactions Between Aliens and Natives: A Holistic Approach to Managing Invasive Plant Species by Vanessa Beauchamp

Understanding the impacts of invasive plant species is important for making sound management decisions in both your backyard and in larger areas of wildlife habitat. Invasive species can have community-wide effects on plant diversity, insect, and bird populations and even soil biota and nutrient cycling. Removal of invasive species can be an effective part of ecosystem restoration, but it is also important to focus on the environmental changes that allow invasives to thrive in the first place. This program is for ages 14 to adult and is $5/person.
