Take a journey back in time and experience the Rappahannock River as Captain John Smith encountered on his maiden voyage up the River. FOR River Steward Capt. Richard Moncure will lead this expedition through a section of the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge and up river to the iconic Fones Cliffs that tower 100 feet over the River.

You will be immersed in the history of the region, see breathtaking wildlife, and hear the compelling story of conservation that has succeeded in protecting a portion of this critical habitat. This is an excellent trip for families, history buffs, bald eagle enthusiasts, and anyone interested in learning more about the Rappahannock River. Come spend an afternoon with us on the River!
