Join the Greater Baltimore Wilderness Coalition & Scenic Rivers Land Trust in a “sweat” service project, networking, & happy hour at Pherm!
The GBWC is partnering with one of our newest coalition members, The Scenic River Land Trust, to host this event, part of Scenic Rivers’ Healthy Forests Invasive Removal Program at the Bacon Ridge Natural Area.
Get down and dirty with us as we remove invasives while making new connections at this combined service project and casual networking event.
- Volunteers will be trained in how to identify and remove these plants.
- Volunteers will be working on designated sections to remove specific invasive plant species.
- Work gloves and tools will be provided by Scenic Rivers, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gear.
- All volunteers must sign the following waiver prior to the event: GBWC Private Healthy Forests Workday
After the project, head over to Pherm Brewing to cool off and network indoors beginning at 3:30 pm! You will also have the opportunity to try their brand new brew, Forever Protected, a special beer collab between Forward Brewing & Pherm Brewing Company in support of Scenic Rivers and local land conservation.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email Scenic Rivers’ Stewardship & Engagement Coordinator, Luke Lanham, at luke@srlt.org
