On the weekend of September 26-28th, the Chincoteague Bay Field Station will offer a weekend-long professional development workshop for teachers focused on native species of Virginia’s coast and the adaptations that help them survive. The workshop will include opportunities to get outside and explore ecosystems in the area as well as discussions about how teachers can address state learning standards while teaching students about their local environment. It is open to K-12 educators in any subject, and housing and meals are included in the cost of registration. More information and the registration link can be found on our website at http://www.cbfieldstation.org/pd.html.
