Annapolis Green is partnering with the Coastal Conservation Association Maryland and Chesapeake Bay Magazine for a fun and informative Green Drinks Annapolis at the beautiful Ellen O. Moyer Back Creek Nature Park. The park is right on Back Creek and we’ll focus on clean waters, particularly the ones close to home. We all know that restoring the Chesapeake Bay starts with its streams and rivers. The more we get to know the waterways in our backyards the more we’ll appreciate and protect them.

Several watershed organizations will participate in Green Drinks, including the Severn River Association’s Back Creek Program, whose members will do a little net seining in the creek so we can see an example of what marine life lives in the creek. Kids in the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park’s education program do this all the time. It’s fun! The Spa Creek Conservancy will be on hand with information about Annapolis’ other creek.

Our host, the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park (AMMP), along with our event partner, Coastal Conservation Association Maryland, will discuss their environmental programs. The event will also provide an opportunity to see the work that has been done by AMMP at Back Creek Park.
