Join Owen Brown CARES as we remove invasive japanese stiltgrass and other unwanted plants from a woodland garden around Lake Elkhorn and replant with native perennials and shrubs. Volunteers  will be asked to sign a liaility waiver for the Columbia Association. Please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, bring a reusable water bottle, and gardening gloves (if you have them). Tools will be provided and there are some gloves available to lend.

  • 9AM – 12PM
  • Park at Lake Elkhorn and walk to 39.184895, -76.83696   (6639 Dasher Ct, Columbia MD)
    • The Lake Elkhorn playground lot fills up quickly on the weekends, you can also park in the lot by Owen Brown interfaith center or along Dasher Ct and take the bike trail.
