Wednesday March 3, 2021: White-tailed Deer: From Near Extinction to Overpopulation, and Where We Go From Here (Audubon Naturalist Society)

Date: March 3, 2021

Time: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Naturalist Hour

Got deer? We all do in the DMV! Learn about deer management strategies from Arlington Regional Master Naturalist, Bill Browning. Humans practically drove the deer population of the mid-Atlantic to extinction by the early 20th century. Since then, the population has recovered to such an extent that overbrowsing degrades forest habitat for other wildlife. Learn what we all can do to address this problem.
