Registration is open for this new course offered by the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP) program.  Designed for maintenance crew and crew leaders who have not yet completed CBLP level 1 Training, this course is ideal for private contractors as well as municipal and facilities/grounds staff who maintain stormwater BMPs.  It covers background on the Chesapeake Bay and BMPs, routine and nonroutine BMP maintenance tasks, best plants for BMPs, ID and management of invasives, and developing a maintenance plan. Reference materials will be provided.

The College Park class will be taught in-person and outdoors, in conjunction with the University of Maryland Facilities Management.  Space is limited; please register early.

Upon completion of the class, participants will receive the new CBLP-Crews certificate.

This class will also be taught in Litiz, PA on Tuesday, June 29, in partnership with Lancaster Clean Water Partners and Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences.  Scholarship funding for the PA class is provided by The Campbell Foundation for employees of Lancaster County local governments.  More details on the registration site
