The Department of Environmental Protection, Montgomery County Parks, ANS, and OEEP are very excited to share this BioBlitz with Glenallan ES. Together we will be getting a snapshot of the diversity of living things near Brookside Nature Center (within Wheaton Regional Park) in a short burst of time – hence the term bioblitz. This event is conducted to help determine the health of the ecosystem: the more biodiversity, the healthier the environment. What we observe and collect on each day will be immediately entered into I-Naturalist for all to see and analyze.
