Come join the NHSM’s Herpetology Club, the Maryland Zoo, and the National Aquarium to learn about amphibians.  At this free Nature Connections we will get to see first hand what amphibians use vernal pools and Kevin Barrett will be presenting about the International Golden Frog breeding project at the Maryland Zoo.  There will be live specimen and fun games!

Special Presentation

2:30pm: Kevin Barrett will be presenting about the International Golden Frog breeding project at the Maryland Zoo

About Our Guest Presenter: Kevin Barrett has been the Reptile & Amphibian Collection Manager at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore since 2013, but has worked at the Zoo since 2005.  While Kevin oversees a diverse collection of reptiles and amphibians, focusing on native species, he is also heavily involved in the management of one of the Zoo’s Signature Animal Programs, the Panamanian Golden Frog.  Kevin and the Zoo have spent the last 20 years honing their expertise with this species and working towards reintroducing it to the wild.
