i-Tree Online Workshop: Teaching with i-Tree Curriculum

Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 1 PM EST

An in-depth look at Project Learning Tree’s new “Teaching with i-Tree Curriculum,” designed for use with middle and high school students, incorporating hands-on activities that engage students in discovering and analyzing the many environmental benefits that trees provide. Students use the free, online i-Tree Design software-developed by the U.S. Forest Service and the Davey Institute- to calculate the dollar value of the benefits provided by a tree or a set of trees. In the process, they are exploring the ways in which trees and green spaces are vital elements in the human ecosystem.
