Join Rock Creek Conservancy on Sunday, January 20th and Monday, January 21st in honor of the 2019 MLK Day of Service. There are volunteer events in your neighborhood as well as other locations throughout Washington, DC, and Montgomery County, MD. Local events are highlighted below in bold. Volunteer activities include (1) removing invasive English ivy from trees and as groundcover to support the restoration of Rock Creek’s natural habitat ; (2) removing other invasive plants such as bush honeysuckle and knotweed so natives can grow in the park; and (3) cleaning up trash that has accumulated along streams.

Visit our website for more information and the most up to date details on the activities. If you are interested in getting a group involved, please email Arielle Conti at aconti@rockcreekconservancy.org
