In what has become something of a “Museum Tradition,” Don Shappelle returns to share his wealth of Bay-inspired songs that are so evocative of his mentor, the late Pete Seeger. The easy to sing along with, thoughtful lyrics always pack a punch. A staunch supporter of Chesapeake Bay clean-up efforts, Shappelle laces his songs with the beauty and magic of the Bay shore — especially his beloved Susquehanna River. He shines a poet’s light on the Bay, crafting a repertoire replete with summer memories floating on the Susquehanna and beyond.
Joining Don on stage is bassist and vocalist Don Sennett, who enhances the music with rich, vocal harmonies and creative interplay between his lively bass and Don’s 12-string guitar.
