Dates: July 22nd & August 19th

Times: 9 am-12:30 pm

Ages: 13-17

Description: Teens often get asked what they want to be when they get older, and it’s often hard to know without trying things out. In this session, we’ll talk about careers in biological field sciences, and what we do at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. Afterward, participants will get to put on chest waders and go into the water to sample fish biodiversity and visit the dock to look at oyster reef organisms and learn how our scientists sample biodiversity.

Cost: Free, limited to 12 participants, teens must be accompanied by an adult.
