The Chesapeake Mermaid will be making an appearance at The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum! She will be telling the tale of “The Last Bivalvian,” which explores the history of the Chesapeake Bay and the importance of oysters.

Your adventure on Saturday, August 6th from 1 – 2 pm includes a story, movement, song, bay creature sign language, and learning what you can do for the wildlife and habitats in your own backyard. Then stay from 2 – 3 pm to for one-on-one meet and greets, and to meet our wildlife friends and take advantage of photo opportunities. Take home copies of our storybooks and get an autograph with the Mermaid too! You can learn more about the magic of The Chesapeake Mermaid from ChesapeakeMermaid.com.

All ages are welcome. Kids will be seated on the floor and mermaid blankets and shark tales are welcome. This event is free.
