Realizaremos una breve caminata (entre 3 millas ida y vuelta) hacia la orilla de la costa en la Zona de Gestión de Recreación Especial de Douglas Point. A lo largo de la caminata, encontrarán los restos de las ruinas del Sitio Chiles Homesite, muchas especies diferentes de plantas y posiblemente una variedad de vida silvestre. Una vez en orilla de la costa, se les proporcionarán folletos sobre cómo recolectar fósiles adecuadamente y se les animará a explorar!

Participants will trek on a short hike (approximately 3 miles round trip) towards the shoreline of Douglas Point Special Recreation Management Area. Along the hike, they will encounter the remnants of the Chiles Homesite ruins, many different plant species, and possibly a variety of wildlife. Once at the shoreline, participants will be given flyers on how to collect fossils properly.
