Reedville Classic Boat Show to be held September 10th, 10-4p

Over 40 Antique and Classic Boats to be on exhibit along Cockrell Creek in historic Reedville, Virginia! 

On Saturday, September 10, the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum (RFM) will again host the annual Classic Boat Show. Enjoy this outdoor exhibition of over 40 classic boats from the Chesapeake Bay region, all on location in historic Reedville. The tickets are $10 for adults and children under 12 are free and includes admission to the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum as well as the Boat Show exhibits and events. The boats will be on display at various docks in Reedville and attendees can walk to all locations or ferry between docks on the historic Elva C.

Other activities include a 100th Birthday Celebration of the Elva C., a Chesapeake Bay style deck boat, a Nautical Flea Market, a raffle, Po Boy Café and beer garden. Well-known author, and award winning reporter, Larry Chowning, will also be reading and signing books under the pavilion.

For the first time, the Colonial Seaport Foundation’s 1768 replica sloop Luna will be making an inaugural appearance at the Classic Boat Show.  In addition, the skipjack, Claud W. Somers will be available for two public sails at 11 am and 2 pm. Tickets for the Somers sails are $40 per person and can be purchased online. Space is limited and reservations are encouraged.
